Erika is a Registered Social Worker (RSW) with professional and lived experience in the areas of addiction, mental health, and trauma recovery. She brings a sense of warmth, genuineness, and care into her work, as she understands the importance of establishing trust and safety in the therapeutic relationship. She prioritizes each client’s unique needs and goals while drawing from a range of therapeutic approaches including Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Attachment-Based Therapy. She applies a trauma-informed perspective and biopsychosocial spiritual lens to her practice which is rooted in a holistic framework.

Erika received training with leading experts in the field of mental health and addiction, including Dr. Gabor Maté and Dr. Bessel van der Kolk. She is passionate about working with people in addiction recovery, including individuals and family members who are navigating problematic substance use, sex and love addiction, along with other process and behavioural addictions. She also focuses on supporting clients who are experiencing mental health challenges, such as borderline personality disorder (BPD), complex-PTSD, anxiety, depression, and ADHD.

Erika understands that humans are social beings who are influenced and shaped by their relationships throughout their lives. She supports clients with healing from insecure attachment through tending to the wounds of relational trauma, along with teaching skills and tools that promote healthy boundaries, effective communication, and secure attachment. Erika’s authenticity, depth, and diverse life experiences offer clients unique perspectives and approaches to navigating life’s difficulties. Her clients often describe feeling seen, heard, and understood at a core level. Erika is honoured to work with people through some of the most challenging and transformative times of their lives.
