My practice focuses on navigating situational stresses and addressing concerns of mood, anxiety and trauma-related challenges. A central area of my practice that has evolved over forty years will also continue to include ADHD. Regardless of whether medication management is involved, I attend to behavioural strategies to optimize adaptation that include a customized approach to time management and organization along with attention to one’s learning style preferences and normal patterns of personality and temperament.

Overall services include diagnostic assessment and treatment. Therapeutic approaches include Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), CBTi (for insomnia), rumination-focused CBT, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and a recently developed approach referred to as holographic reprocessing that can be flexibly integrated into practice.

I believe in tailoring treatment to the individual person rather than insisting that the client fit a particular program protocol, although will include the latter if it seems a good fit. Progress is evaluated not just through periodic re-administrations of brief, selected rating scales but also the individual’s practical criteria as to markers what progress would look like in the near future.
