Danielle Nori
Danielle (she/her) is a social worker and facilitator with experience in a diverse range of environments including sexual health, harm reduction, street outreach, supportive housing, and crisis response to survivors of sexualized assault. She is passionate about supporting individuals to address difficulties related to mental health, gender and sexuality, substance use, and spirituality.
Danielle approaches her work from a trauma informed and anti-oppressive framework. Her holistic approach to the therapeutic relationship draws on a range of methods including Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Narrative Therapy. As a settler living and working on the traditional territories of the Lekwungen – speaking peoples (The Songhees, Esquimalt and W̱SÁNEĆ peoples) she is committed to the process of decolonization and remains a reflexive learner on these lands.
Danielle focuses her work on empowering individuals to create a life they deem as “worth living” while also advocating for the change of larger social structures that create barriers and contribute to suffering. As an advocate to the LGBTQ2S1+ community, she is committed to creating an environment of safety, compassion, and inclusion in order to best support folks to show up as they are.
